5 misunderstandings about bisexuality
In
America, October is the month for homosexual history, and Oct. 11th
is the day for national coming out. For celebrating the two scenes, Buzzfeed
Yellow interviewed several bisexual people, in order to abolish people’s
misunderstandings and groundless. These groundless are wrong and
unsubstantiated, what’s more, they are extremely harmful. However, to break
these misunderstandings could help to decrease the harm of groundless and stop
spread them, it’s favorable from the long term.
In the
interview, these bisexual people talk about their orientation from several
different points – serious, humorous, optimistic, or all of them. The topic of
their talks are made as “I'm bisexual, but I’m not… or I don't…”
The
first misunderstanding and also the most common one: “I'm bisexual, but I’m not
confused.” It's hard for us to argue for this misunderstanding, because there
is a hypothesis hiding in it that everyone need to choose a sexuality, but
bisexual people are in a waiting stage before make sure their sexuality. But in
fact, bisexual people aren't confused inside their mind, and there is no
special way to force bisexual people to prefer a stable sexuality.

Bisexuality is a kind of experiment
People
consider that, bisexual people just an experiment to dig out their sexuality,
but they don't recognize their understandings about themselves, or trying to
know themselves.

Bisexuality is a kind of greed
What's
the feeling of being greedy for love and sex? Everyone is going through it,
right? If it is so popular among people, why should people call bisexual people
greedy?
Bisexuality
doesn't mean they are more likely to have an affair and aspire after others.
The meaning of monogamy is different from couples to couples, but not discriminate
from orientation.
4 All
bisexual people like promiscuity
Bisexuality
doesn't mean they have strong sexual desire at any time or any place. As the
same, bisexuality shouldn't be understood as threesome. Some bisexual people
may like it, but others may doesn't. It's not a good idea to treat all bisexual
people as the same.

Bisexual people don't have faith
Bisexual people do have faith. There are still plenty of things which couldn't be
decided by orientation.
